Course Overview
Course 2 in the Women In Law Enforcement: The Leadership Ascent Series.
In this course of The Ascent Series, participants dive into the real-world experiences, strategies, and success stories of accomplished women leaders in law enforcement, public safety, and other industries. Content is intentionally designed for current and aspiring women leaders in law enforcement, as well as their allies and male counterparts. Specifically, case studies, videos, and scenario-based discussions are used to highlight the adaptive leadership practices, communication skills, and other competencies that have enabled women to thrive in elected, supervisory, command, and executive roles. Participants will study proven frameworks for influence, conflict resolution, and operational leadership, while also learning how to navigate institutional resistance and lead with both command presence and emotional intelligence. This course is both practical and inspirational, offering a blueprint for rising through the ranks while staying grounded in personal values and purpose.
